Hey hey livejournal. I haven't updated in 5 weeks...so here's a survey!

75 Random Questions

Do you have any pets?
No...but my little sister has a Japanese fighter fish named Flappy.

What color shirt are you wearing?
gray.

Name three things that are physically close to you:
Pillows, blanket, mattress.

What is the last book you read?
In the process of reading Joe Biden's autobiography. He's a great writer.

Are you or were you a good student?
I have my bad days/weeks, but I am for the most part.

What's your favorite sport?
CCXC!!!

Do you enjoy sleeping late?
Not so late that it cuts into the day. But lately I wake up at 7 all time on days off.

What's the weather like right now?
It's too dark to tell, but I'm assuming it's fine.

Who tells the best jokes?
Hmm. Good question. Not me, unless you have my sense of humor.

What was the last thing you dreamed about?
No idea.

Do you drive? If so, have you ever crashed?
I have my permit. No I haven't crashed, although I have run stop signs...

Do you believe in karma?
Sure.

Do you believe in luck?
To some extent.

Do you like your eggs scrambled or sunny side up?
I don't like my eggs (or yours, or anyone else's), period.

Do you collect anything? If so, what?
I save every paper I've ever written, if that counts.

Are you proud of yourself?
For the most part.

Are you reliable?
Hmm...I'd like to think so, but sometimes I don't do homework if I don't think it's important.

Have you ever given money to a bum?
Probably. Not recently, though.

What's your favorite food?
Chinese food. And basically anything with carbs.

Have you ever had a secret admirer?
Not that I'm aware of.

Do you like the smell of gasoline?
I don't dislike it.

Do like to draw?
It's fun, but I'm terrible at it so I don't do it very often.

What's your favorite invention?
your face.

Is your room messy?
Yes, but I know where everything is.

What do you like better: oranges or apples?
I love both. It totally depends on my mood.

Do you give in easily?
YES.

Are you a good guesser?
Yes.

Can you read other people's expressions?
Most of the time.

Are you a bully?
Clearly.

Do you have a job?
No. I need one.

What time did you wake up this morning?
4:45, went back to sleep until 6

What did you eat for breakfast this morning?
Cheerios and waffles. Yummy!

When was the last time you showered?

What do you plan on doing tomorrow?
Christmas choir rehearsal if it's still on, doing all of my homework since I'll have no time to do it on Sunday, probably go for a run.

What's your favorite day of the week and why?
Friday because I have three free blocks, and it's Friday!

Do you have any nicknames?
Case, Caseyface, Casemeister

Have you ever been scuba diving?
No, I'd probably be too creeped out by the fishies.

What's your least favorite color?
Not overly fond of yellow.

Is there someone you have been constantly thinking about? If yes, who?
He's...it's...NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS! Actually, no one really.

Would you ever go skydiving?
Noooope.

What toothpaste do you use?
Crest.

Do you enjoy challenges?
Only if it's in a subject or activity that I particularly enjoy.

What's the worst injury you have had?
Hip tendonitis two years ago.

What's the last movie you saw?
Ahhhh I don't remember...probably Air Bud. hah.

What do you want to know about the future?
Nothing. Hence why it's the future.

What does your last text message say?
I'm too lazy to check...it's from Renie about whether or not the concert is still on for Sunday.

Who was the last person you spoke over the phone to?
Mi padre.

What's your favorite school subject?
History, definitely (cue that "feel good fashion" Old Navy commercial with that spazzy girl, circa 2002...please don't tell me I'm the only one remembers it..."HISTORY?! I LOVE history! Something happens, and then later, something else happens! SO SEQUENTIAL!")

What's your least favorite school subject?
All forms of science, although lately it's been English.

Would you rather have money or love?
Pssh, love conquers all!

What is your dream vacation?
Pretty much anywhere. Unless I was being attacked, probably not.

How about the same sex?
See above.

Who was the last person who got really angry at you?
Probably my dad, for sucking at driving.

What are your pet peeves?
People who walk slowly, people who don't smile for pictures, people who brag, people who facebook chat with me who I don't want to talk to, and basically careless people in general.

Do you keep grudges, or can you let them go easily?
pssh, already asked.

Sloth

What is one thing you're supposed to do daily that you haven't?
Clean my room.

What is the latest you've ever woken up?
10:45ish I think?

Name a person you've been meaning to contact, but haven't?
Basically everyone who has posted on my facebook wall within the past month. I never get mad at people.

Is your favorite to act on?
gluttony, clearly.
So I haven't really been updating lately because school, my presidency class, cross country, watching Jean-Baptiste Maunier videos on YouTube, Nora's broken leg, and my other homework all kind of run my life at the moment. But I love it (well, besides Nora's leg and the non-presidency related homework).

And Hannah, where were you today? Skippin'?

EVERYONE LISTEN TO JEAN-BAPTISTE MAUNIER BECAUSE HE'S SO FREAKING GOOD:
<lj-embed id="1" />

Oh and I'm getting a new desk chair sometime this weekend! One that actually has a back and will halt my development of scoliosis! Hooray!

I am officially done with driver's ed! It was soo annoying to have to go to CCHS and sit in the little theatre for six hours watching terrible movies, but now I will never have to do it again! Unless I lose my license...which hopefully won't happen!

Now I wish that I could say that I'm done with annoying, time consuming activities for the rest of the summer, but unfortunately I have SAT "boot camp" next week from 9 to 4 every day. No idea how I'm going to survive that! And then the week after that I have cross country practice every morning (I'll have to miss the first few because of boot camp), and then school starts the week after that. Life is jolly good.

Oh well, at least I have this weekend to relax and keep watching the Olympics (CONGRATS NASTIA AND SHAWN! AAAAND RYAN LOCHTE! and Michael Phelps of course). I never really paid much attention to them before, but now I'm obsessed with them to the point where I stay up until 1 for two nights in a row to watch them! I wish I had time to watch the events broadcasted earlier in the day (I only really get to watch swimming, gymnastics, beach volleyball, and little bits of cycling and some of the games), but alas, God does not like it better that way.

Speaking of God, I need to catch up with Secret Life of the American Teenager! I watched the fourth episode yesterday (hence the God transition) and it's so addictive! Thank you very muchly to Irene for introducing me to it =)

I kind of want to get my schedule so that I can stare at it and color it in with highlighters, even though it will probably be wrong.

I ran 35 miles this week and the week before, and this week I am aiming for 40. My right hip's aches are starting to reach danger point, buttt I'm just going to pretend that it's fine. Today I did those fun leg swings and it felt really good. Aaand I can actually feel myself getting faster!

My parents are on vacation without us for a few days, so one of our old babysitters is staying with us, which means we actually get to do fun things. So tonight we are seeing WALL-E, which I've heard is really good! Hooray! I just wish my dad would be back so he could keep giving me driving lessons, because I have recently graduated from the CCHS parking lot to THE OPEN ROAD! Woo and hoo!

Yesterday I read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows for the first time since last summer. That book is like a Horcrux, it totally depressed and exhausted me and yet I had to keep reading because it basically consumed my brain/heart/soul/whatever. And now I totally understand it again! I'ma go reread my favorite parts.

Okay, I'm actually updating for real now!

Explo was sooooo much fun. I got to live at Yale, which was pretty sweet even if the squirrels were crazy and the dorms didn't have air conditioning, take classes on Sports Psychology (very helpful) and Improv (very entertaining), meet all of these awesome people from alll over the world (I can now say that I have friends from Sweden, China, Switzerland, France, Thailand, Australia, and Idaho, as well as the ten billion Jewish New Yorkers), and actually experience living away from home, which I loved. Now I can't wait for college! Speaking of colleges, I toured six of them, plus I went to NYC and saw Phantom of the Opera and Grease, and I went to DC for the first time! Woohoo!

I have been home since Saturday and have not done much besides try training for cross country (but failing because of the stupid rain) and rediscover how obnoxious my lovely family is. Isn't that just great? I did, however, finally put my old computer out of its misery, and I am now using Jane's old laptop! Which is perfect, because it currently has no deadly viruses, a working Microsoft Word that I can print papers from, and the internet actually functions! The only problem is that it's not allowing me to transfer most of my purchased songs from my iPod to its iTunes library, butttt I'll have to work on fixing it.

Ladeeda...I can't wait for next summer when I'll have my license and will actually be able to go places! I kind of feel like an idiot because I could have had it by now, but I was too lazy. Oh well, c'est la vie.

I'm over and out - hopefully I'll see y'all soon! (notttt so sure whether or not this weekend is going to work Renie =/ )

Sooo I have had a pretty productive first week of summer. I passed my permit test (butttt I got the dumbest questions wrong, ie. I think it's okay to throw lit cigarettes out of car windows as long as you're in a rural area?), I drove for the first time, I got a haircut, and I finally got new clothes (Nordstrom is my new favorite store!). Aaaaand I've been getting back into running, which has been painful, but hopefully I'll be able to work by way up to 40 miles a week by the end of the summer (by order of Mr. Lane). I highly doubt I'll actually be able to do that but that's okay!

Tomorrow I leave with my family to go to Vermont for the weekend, and then on Sunday I go to camp. Which basically means that tomorrow is my last day in Concord until July 19. I've never been away from home for longer than a week, so it's a little scary, but I'm also looking forward to it. I feel like I need to meet new people.

I'm going to go watch Nick at Nite now, much amo to all!

I am updating to say that I am FINALLLYYYYYYYY OUT OF SCHOOL and I pulled off decent grades too so yay for that (well actually I got a 79.7 for the year in math, but she's rounding it up)! Plus I was at the top of my history teacher's wall of honor for the final exam.

So right now I'm just chilling at my house for the next week until I leave for camp on Sunday. I'll be away for three weeks but then I'll basically be home for the rest of the summer.

Jane left for China this morning, and it's soo weird to think that it's going to be a month until I see her again! Oh well, I guess it will be good practice for when she goes to college this fall.

Aaaaand I'm actually going to take the permit test tomorrow, wish me luck!

The one most likely to get thrown in jail and why: Izzy. Because without me around to keep her in line, she might go even crazier.

I just went to the end of the year ski team meeting, and we found out that Dusty won't be coaching next year =(

None of you probably even know who Dusty is, because then you'd understand why this is so heartbreaking. But he is one of, if not the, best coach I have ever been lucky enough to have. And I don't even like skiing, and I've only been on the team for one year, and I haven't even been sure about doing it next year. I can't imagine the team without Dusty, though.

we have one more race tomorrow. I had wanted to think of some way to get out of it, but now I'm determined to like, win it. Just for Dusty.

Mehhh this is so sad.

This week has been reallllllllyyyy stressful, so it's lovely to be relaxing and not doing homework right now!

As for interesting details about my second semester classes...the scheduling machine/my guidance counselor must really hate me, because my schedule put me in the theatre elective that I had said I wanted dropped a few weeks ago, and this taking this elective would cause me to have no more than two blocks that aren't classes per week. BUT the good part of the story is that I DROPPED IT! AND HAVE A BLOCK STUDY AGAIN! AND I'VE PROVEN TO THE WORLD THAT I'M NOT A PUSHOVER! YAY!

I also have a new history teacher, who is AMAZING, so hooray for that. All of my other classes are basically the same.

Skiing championships are on Tuesday and I'm obviously not in it, but the entire team gets to miss a day of school to go watch it! Yay! I'll miss the team, but I will be really glad when skiing is over. The practice schedule was kind of stressful, and let's just say I'm not exactly fond of being slowest on a team. Even if the team will probably be the state champs.

And lalala...again, I'm really glad to be relaxing this weekend...and seeing the CDS play, hopefully? We'll see how well my parents' shedules works out. But for now I will retire to my bed. G'night!

(Oh and in case you were wondering, dear reader, Aunt Mary arrived with a resounding crash this morning, so no worries!)

JANUARY IS OVER TOMORROW, HOORAY!

AND SO ARE MIDTERMS, AND THE FIRST SEMESTER/SECOND QUARTER! DOUBLE HOORAY!

All of my exams were actually really easy. But of course I have my math midterm tomorrow, which will hand me my ass. I should probably hop to that whole being good at taking math tests thing...

On Tuesday I had my last regular skiing race, and I fell and twisted my knee and ankle =( Then the athletic trainer told me to take yesterday off (he only said of skiing!), so me and my friend ran 7 miles, because we're cool like that =) My ankle doesn't hurt anymore, but now my legs are sore.

Lalala...I'm really excited for this weekend, for the complete lack of homework! Speaking of weekends, last weekend I saw Spamalot! (HEEHEE HI RENIE!) And it was amazing!

Maybe I'll update sometime in the next two weeks to give all the exciting details about my new second semester classes. Maybe.

My grandpa died a year ago today.
But today my grandma won a game of bridge and got two dollars.
I have a four day weekend (tomorrow is a professional day for the teachers), so I just started catching up on the new American Idol season.
The concert last night was pretty good but I'm glad it's over with, I'm bad at skiing but I'm definitely getting better, school is stressful but at least midterms will be over with in a few weeks, and I can't think of anything else to say.
Good night!
